Security Officer Shift: 3rd shift- 10p-8a Full-Time

Security Officer Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of team members, guests, and guest property according to Suburban Inns’ Core Values and Suburban Inns/Embassy Suites standards and going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.
Security Officer Essential Functions:
Security Officer Position Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. Requires typing, record keeping, and/or word processing. Good communication skills
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: High school diploma or equivalent related experience preferred. Security related experience preferred.
License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Valid driver’s license. TIPS, CPR certifications (may be completed upon hire)
Security Officer External and Internal Personal Contact:
Communications: Daily - Verbal & Written
Weekly - Participation in meetings
Teamwork and Collaboration: This job is part of a formal work team which includes all departments within the property
Security Officer Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Safety: Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures of Suburban Inns
Required Travel: Position may involve travel to other Suburban Inns properties, client locations, and off-site meetings.
Security Officer Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:
Security Officer Uniform: Uniform and name tag provided. Close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the Team Member.
Security Officer appearance: Hair must be kept well-groomed. Any tattoo that is deemed offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times. This policy will be administered by the position’s supervisor, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, and other protected characteristics. The Vice President of Hotel Operations has the authority to veto any decision made by the position’s supervisor.
